  ULTRASONIC SEAM WELDING UNIT
IN MODULAR DESIGN

For continuous seam welding

All important weld parameters have infinitely variable control:

  • Weld speed - up to 120 mm/sec. (depending on material)
  • Weld pressure
  • Amplitude

Standard ultrasonic Seam Welding units consist of:

  • Ultrasonic seam welding transducer module
    - generator (frequency of 20 kHz)

The ultrasonic modules in all of the seam welding units are interchangeable with each other and can be combined with a power module, control module and motor module to certain specifications required for operation.

Advantages of the modular design:

  • Maintenance friendly
  • Modules are easily exchanged
  • Short set-up times

Ultrasonic seam welding generator (frequency 20 kHz) for continuous operation.

  • Automatic frequency adjustment
  • Automatic control of power output
  • Optional interface for data control

Quality Control

  • Fully automatic

Note: STAPLA not only provides ultrasonic components - as described above - we also deliver complete seam welding units which contain the power source of the seam weld oscillating module as well as the fixation and feeding system for the parts to be welded.

Ultrasonic welding examples & comparisons
  1. Mäander shaped cooling tube onto heat radiating sheet metal - aluminum type.

  2. Welding of tube onto sheet metal for solar heat exchanger vs. soldering, brazing.

  3. Ultrasonic seam welding of tube on sheet metal for heat exchangers vs. brazing, soldering.

  4. Welding of 2 stream lined aluminum sheet metals: (length - each 6 m / width - each 1,5 m) vs. gas welding.

  5. Overlapped ultrasonic welding for joining of 2 coil ends vs. brazing, soldering.

  6. Seam welding of aluminum for home & pharmaceutical applications.
